Oasis @ Mulberry

We went to look at the showhouses at Oasis@Mulberry last year. The unit is long and spacious (around 3500 square feet, 4500 square feet for corner) with a dome-like roof. From the outside, it doesn't look impressive at all.

But inside the place, it is pretty well done. With lightings and tastefully appointed furniture to showcase the rooms. What I really love about the place is that each room has its own bathroom. That is so needed. A person's own oasis is usually the bathroom. Lol.

There is a basement, attic and and upper level for the rooms. So it is good for a growing family.

Dresses Again

I love looking at dresses, especially when I have nothing much to do and can spend the day just surfing online. I guess dresses are just so feminine and can change a person's mood and look. Here are a few which I like from Nordstroms and ASOS :) In fact, I can safely say I love dresses more than shoes or bags :p

When I go shopping, I usually buy dresses rather than separates. However, I rarely wear dresses since they are usually meant for special occasions or dinners. So I rarely ever have to run out to go buy dresses in a hurry, there are always many hanging in the closet, just waiting to be worn.

Waraku Dining @ Central

This is such a long overdue post too. Whatever have I been doing? These were like taken in February 2007, almost a year ago now. Again, it was at Central when it was partially opened. Celest, Davis and I went there for lunch after some event, probably some private sale thing. Hahaha. We went to Central then cos it was usually too early to find food in Clarke Quay area, and Central kinda just opened.

Waraku it was then. I pretty much like the restaurants in Central as most faced the river, which can be quite relaxing, just chilling and watching the bumboats and ripple of the water.

I had the negitoro set as I was so into negitoro then. Raw minced tuna with spring onions on rice. It came with the miso soup and pickles.

I think Celest had this - cutlet curry udon

Davis had this - beef curry udon

I had this too - chawanmushi. I like the way it was served in. Cute

We share some side - grilled beef.

Another side we shared - something prawns :p

Close up of the prawn cracker thingy.
Waraku is a decent place for Japanese food. Not overly fantastic like Inagiku but it does serve good Japanese food with a variety of choices.

LV Bags

Another bag which caught my eye, I think it is more of the color - Raspberry. This has probably been around, though not sure if the color is new. RRP US$760 for the Monogram Vernis Reade PM. It is fairly small at 8.9" x 7.1" x 4.1".
I saw an ad in the papers today and I quite like it. Louis Vuitton Suhali Lockit GM (RRP US$3,500). I like its simplicity and goatskin leather, plus none of the usual "loud" brand/logo. Understated.

It is 19" x 14.3" x 8", quite a good size. It comes in smaller (PM) and medium (MM) too.

Kopitiam @ Central

This is quite a long overdue post as I took these pictures last year when Central just opened. In fact it was not even fully opened at all then, reason why we were at the foodcourt - Kopitiam - as most restaurants were not opened at all.

Updated version of the ice shaver for the local desserts.

I had something mango. I love the way the desserts were served. In clear blue bowls and saucers with wavy border. It totally represents the fact the stall is right by the Singapore River.

With a view of Clarke Quay across the river, Kopitiam is definitely quite a nice place to have a decent and affordable meal.

Greek Masterpieces

My trip to the National Museum for the Greek Masterpieces from the Louvre exhibition. I shall let the pictures do the talking. Very interesting with 130+ items of sculptures, jewelry and vases. You are even allowed to bring a sketchpad and pencils or charcoal to sketch the pieces. Stools provided. Interactive too, with the Greek version of backgammon and Greek clothings to try on.
