F1 Night Racing: 26-28 September 2008

The very first F1 Night Race in the world? Why am I not surprised? Singapore does have a tendency to want to be the "first" in many things.

Banners are up along Orchard Road, publicizing the event. It has been in the news sporadically, from its bidding to its winning and to reporting on hotel occupancy rates almost being full during the period.

So those who are into F1, you need to book your air tickets and hotel rooms now. Rooms are apparently running out fast and at a higher rate since the government is imposing a special tax for this event.

Those trying to organize events for corporations, it will be wise to avoid this week. Rooms will be impossible to get. Other fringe activities will work, plus those in F&B and retail.
